Optimization Services
See where your Workday tenant is falling short and what’s worth fixing.
Configurations drift. Business needs change. Partial rollouts leave parts of Workday underused or misaligned. We evaluate your tenant against how your organization works today, prioritize what is worth changing, and can help address the improvements we identify.
When to optimize
After a reorg, merger, or leadership change
Your organization has changed, but the tenant may still reflect the structure and processes that came before.
After a go-live with deferred or incomplete work
Some of the work deferred during implementation may now be limiting how well the tenant supports the organization.
After multiple Workday releases without a deeper review
Multiple releases may have changed what Workday can support in ways that are now worth reassessing.
When recurring problems have become normal
Issues that keep resurfacing may point to something in the configuration, process, or data that is worth addressing more directly.
Whether you know what needs fixing or just know something isn’t working, let’s talk →
What we evaluate
We assess the areas that matter most to how your organization uses Workday.
We scope the assessment around your priorities, whether that means one functional area or a broader review across the tenant. The goal is to understand what is working, what is not, and where improvement is worth the effort. Typical areas include:
Configuration & tenant setup
Whether functional configuration and tenant-level settings still support how the organization operates today.
Tenant security & access
Whether security and access align with the responsibilities people actually hold.
Integrations & connected systems
How integrations move data into and out of Workday and where those connections may need attention.
Business process design & approvals
Whether business process design, routing, and approvals reflect how work is actually handled today.
Data integrity & reporting
Whether the data can be trusted and reporting gives people the information they need to work effectively.
Usability & workarounds
Where people rely on workarounds because the current Workday experience does not support how they need to operate.
Why our approach is different
We optimize where it actually matters, not just where the configuration could be different.
We look at the configuration and the operating reality around it. Some of our consultants have owned Workday from the client side, which informs how we evaluate whether a change actually fits the way your organization needs to operate. We explain the reasoning behind each recommendation so you understand why it is worth making and what it is intended to improve.
You leave knowing what needs attention, what can wait, and why. The assessment gives you a basis for prioritizing the work, and we can help make the changes you decide are worth pursuing.
How findings are prioritized
Not every finding deserves the same response.
At the end of the assessment, you receive a prioritized findings summary designed to support real decisions. We use three dimensions to help determine what deserves attention first:
Level of effort
The estimated complexity and effort required to address the finding, so the priority reflects what the work will actually take.
Risk if unaddressed
What could happen if the finding is left unaddressed, including operational, compliance, payroll, financial, or employee impacts.
Business impact
What improves if the finding is addressed, such as efficiency, accuracy, scalability, or the user experience.
Considered together, these dimensions help you weigh tradeoffs, sequence the work, and decide where attention is most justified.
What you leave with
A clearer basis for deciding what to do next.
If you want us to do the work
We can help implement the improvements you decide are worth pursuing.
We help make the changes you prioritized, carrying the assessment forward so the work stays tied to the problems, risks, and opportunities that justified it.
Priority improvements carried through implementation
Changes validated against the outcome they were meant to improve
Updated documentation that reflects what changed and why
